This sculptural console is a piece of functional art, meticulously crafted from cast brass and featuring a rich variety of oxidization finishes that give it depth and texture. The top surface of the console is a detailed, abstracted topographic map of Manhattan, rendered in relief. Streets, blocks, and notable landmarks are intricately interpreted in bronze, while the surrounding river contours are highlighted with greenish patina, mimicking the oxidation of aged copper and evoking the flowing waters of the Hudson and East Rivers. 

A central planter interrupts the otherwise solid brass surface, bringing an organic element to the structured urban landscape, a poetic nod to the coexistence of nature and city life. Corresponds to the locations of actual bridges connecting Manhattan to surrounding boroughs.
